- moved here from Town Hall in Gloucester Street (Faringdon old 1) when town got a motorized fire engine
William Law
- This is Faringdon's first fire station built when fire fighting was managed by the Vestry. It was in use in 1877 probably even earlier. When Faringdon R.D.C. became responsible for firefighting (late 1890s) they moved to under the Town Hall in the Market Place, March/April 1903 (details from Faringdon Advertiser) |
